School Introduction
School of Astronautics NPU originated from the Department of Aerospace Engineering established in 1958, which is one of the earliest established aerospace departments in China. In the school history of more than 60 years, the school has always adhered to the responsibility of cultivating high-quality innovative talents in the field of aerospace, serving the major strategic needs of the country and national defense, and contributing to the development of the national aerospace industry and national economy. In recent years, the school has successively won the honors of "Model in National Party Building Work", Provincial Teachers' Ethics Construction Advanced Collective, etc. In 2017, in the fourth round of national discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, the aerospace science and technology discipline was awarded A+, tied for first place in the country.
Fruitful achievement of talent cultivation. The school adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, and constantly improves the trinity training system of "value shaping, ability training, and knowledge imparting", and builds a talent training system with aerospace characteristics. The school has cultivated the first PhD in engineering in the two disciplines of flight mechanics and rocket engine. Among the more than 11,000 alumni trained by the school, a large number of industry elites and national pillars have emerged, which is an important manifestation of the "NPU Phenomenon" in talent training.
Strong faculty. The school insists on putting the construction of teacher ethics and style in the first place, optimizes the introduction mechanism, and strengthens the training of young teachers. There are 4 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (including double appointments), 8 national high-level talents, 7 national-level young talents, 20 national-level experts, 1 provincial famous teaching teacher, 1 provincial teacher ethics pacesetter, 3 provincial and ministerial level young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation leaders, and 6 innovation teams above the provincial and ministerial level, forming a high-quality faculty team with high-level talents as the backbone, moderate scale, reasonable structure, and distinctive characteristics.
Outstanding contributions to scientific research work. The school adheres to the "Four Facing"( Facing the frontiers of world science and technology, facing the economic main battlefield, facing major national needs, and facing people's lives and health), serves the construction of an "Aerospace power", strives to solve the "stuck neck" problem in core key areas. The school has participated in a series of major national scientific and technological projects, and especially made important contributions to China's first manned space flight test, so has been commended by the China Manned Space Engineering Office, and is one of only two universities in China.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Applicants who get a doctorate in domestic and abroad within 3 years after graduation and be under 35 years old can apply for postdoctoral fellow.
Supports: NPU provides 210, 000- 290, 000 RMB annual salary (pre-tax) for postdoctoral fellow. Also, NPU provides other incomes and children’s education services for postdoctoral fellow.
